Here is a selected, short operational start for an e-commerce logistician who wants to pack in accordance with the requirements of the EU PPWR regulation and the Zero Waste trend without losing millions from the company budget.
Step 1: FSC certified cartons
Choose only mail boxes and flap cartons that boast a quality mark, e.g. FSC Mix / FSC Recycled. The FSC certificate guarantees that the raw material comes from legal, certified sources (well-managed forests or recycled cellulose waste paper), while respecting ecological standards. pallet dividers made of certified cardboard are perfect for protecting the lower surfaces of pallets.
Step 2: Replace all plastic materials with paper filler
For light clothes or a glass carafe, choose premium prestige arranged in all corners of the package: ecological paper shavings with a powerful depreciation capacity (unboxing experience).
And for electronics and heavy machinery, use cheap, professional and heavy wrapping paper on a roll with a dispenser appropriately matched to the table. Throw away the plastic courier pillows quickly! If your assortment includes sensitive flat products, protect them with cut paper (honeycomb).
